  5. Never forget who you...

Have you undergone significant change in your life recently? A new job, new house, new relationship or even a new business – they can all impact on your confidence and cause you to doubt yourself.

It’s completely normal to feel a little ‘lost’ at times, you know what Ronan Keating says – life is a rollercoaster and it certainly has been this year!!

When events around us are changing, one thing that will always remain constant is YOU. Whilst your circumstances may change, what’s on the inside (your values and beliefs) will always remain the same.

If you’re struggling to look ahead at the moment try looking backwards. Reminisce about the challenges you’ve overcome in your life and what it took in YOU to make that happen.

Like the time I overcame my fear of heights when I was travelling around Australia. I have this photo in my office to remind myself what I’m capable of.

I was 25 years old and you can see by the smile on my face just how proud I was feeling!  I’d just climbed 1332 stairs to the dizzy heights of 134m to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Did I mention I was scared of heights at the time?? But it was something that I really wanted to do so I had to summon up the courage to make it happen.

Yes this was me 20 years ago on an adventure of a lifetime to Australia.  I did so many things during this 1 year trip which were way outside my comfort zone – staying in hostels with strangers, sleeping under the stars in a sleeping bag in the desert, climbing Ayers Rock and diving on the Great Barrier Reef!

I took my people skills to a whole new level during those 12 months.  We were constantly on the move so I had to learn to strike up a conversation with strangers. I made some amazing friendships as a result – many that are still going strong today!

It’s an experience I will never forget.

When I look at this photo it reminds me of how much courage, strength, resilience and determination I had then to succeed – and I still have.

It’s why I started this business of Enabling Bold Moves and it’s why I’m so passionate about helping others to achieve their lifelong ambitions as well.

When have you had to be courageous to overcome your fears? What can you learn from that experience?

Do you have an ambitious goal that is driving you at the moment?  I’d love to help you to achieve it.
